The Mains Signalling Link or MSL family of products provide a simple, flexible, and highly portable method of signalling within a building by using the mains power wiring.

We can supply the technology either built into our own proprietary products, or as OEM transmitter and receiver modules for integration into other manufacturers' systems.

The MSL MayDay and MSL Signalling systems simply plug into three-pin power points and can be moved around as needed.  Applications include calling for assistance by office staff or lone workers, monitoring of critical events, such as the opening of fire doors, emergency exits etc, and the remote switching of equipment.

Using an innovative data transmission technology and the existing hard-wired signal path provided by the mains power wiring network, it can offer a more reliable and longer range “wireless” signalling option within a building than typical low-power radio based products, without the need to install additional wiring.

Key Benefits

  • Systems can be installed simply without new wiring or expensive installation. The transmitting and receiving units simply plug into a mains power point where they are required
  • Systems are highly portable and easy to set up for temporary use. A network of sender units communicating to a central receiver can be set up in minutes
  • The existing mains-power wiring provides an extremely reliable wired signalling path, which is considerably more dependable than wireless radio communication
  • Signalling can be achieved throughout a large building or complex which is fed by the same main power feed, and the range is not affected by factors, such as walls, that limit radio signals
  • Signals are coded to prevent false alarms from electrical interference on the mains power wiring
